2020 New Brunswick Family Winter Bucket List! #StopToSeeNB

We curate this guide to promote shopping local and supporting our communities, province and our region of Canada. This gift guide is sponsored by the businesses taking part, they apply using our call for submissions, we evaluate the application and promote the ones we have either personally shopped with or we believe in supporting them as they get started, like below with Treatlab. If a new to me business applies, I will try to shop from them or review their products before publishing the guide as well.

With Christmas right around the corner, houses are being decorated inside and out. Some people have a few strands of lights, while others go all out.

With lockdowns, no parade, limited access to activities, etc, we hope to make 2020’s list and map a favourite resource for families in Greater Moncton.

We have compiled a list of all the bigger or unique (one of a kind) light displays in the Greater Moncton region. The list was compiled on our Facebook page in 2018 & 2019, and we will continue to update and add to it here on the blog.

Rainy Halloween Ideas – Events, Activities & Costumes

It’s not the first time there has been some rainy weather forecast for Halloween. Each time this happens, there is a scramble on the interwebs of parents asking for indoor trick or treat options, costume ideas, or other ways to make Halloween fun and special when the rain is dampening our spirits.

Planting Trees at TD Tree Days in Moncton #TheReadyCommitment

Boultenhouse Heritage Center in Sackville, NB

On a recent weekend trip to Sackville, New Brunswick, we checked out The Boultenhouse Heritage Centre. It is one of Sackville’s oldest surviving homes, containing a museum to showcase the areas rich history. We took a guided tour and learned about shipbuilding in the late 18th century, early Victorian life through artifacts displayed in the parlor, more about domestic life and then the growth in other industries & manufacturing that happened in the region.

Stop two on our series “#StopToSeeNB – Visiting Hometowns In New Brunswick”, is Miramichi, New Brunswick. This was a fun-filled 3 days in Miramichi, experiencing history, the Folksong Festival, boat rides, ziplining, and more.

We were hosted by the city of Miramichi and followed an itinerary created for us on this visit. All opinions and experiences are our own. We partner with destinations and businesses we feel fit our audience and brand.

Hey everyone! Have you ever stopped to look at what there is around you when planning a night or weekend away? We have started a new blog series called “#StopToSeeNB – Visiting Hometowns In New Brunswick”, to share some of the reasons we love New Brunswick, why we are proud to be from here, and in order to instill a sense of belonging in our children. We are a family of 4, Ruth Ann (me), Doug (my husband), Lorne (16 yrs) and Clayton (6 yrs), and traveling most of the time with our dog Bo. We will highlight the things we saw, where we ate and where we stayed in each place we visit.
