Our Winter 2020 bucket list contains activities to do, experiences to enjoy and destinations to visit in New Brunswick with our children. We will be sharing our family ideas for things to do with a 7-year-old and a 16-year-old. Of course, many activities can be enjoyed by other ages as well, we are just sharing what we are doing and experiencing.
Our goal for this winter is to find new places to EXPLORE, new things to LEARN and trying ACTIVITIES as a family. We will also be re-visiting some of our favourite spots along the way.
Here is our bucket list, and below you will find ideas in New Brunswick to fulfill this or your own bucket list.

Winter Festivals
We are keeping this to 2 only because the weather and road conditions may limit the travel we can do. We may try to get to more of these as we plan our Winter outings. Here are our top picks for our adventures. You can also find a much more extensive list of some of the New Brunswick Winter festivals taking place in 2020 in our “Winter Festivals In New Brunswick“ post.
- Fredericton FROSTival & Shivering Songs (Jan 16 – Feb 2, 2020)
- Shediac Winter Carnival (Jan 29 – Feb 2, 2020)
- Riverview Winter Carnival (Feb 7 – 16, 2020)
- Fundy Winterfest, Saint John region (Jan 26 – Feb. 28)
- World Pond Hockey Championships, Plaster Rock, NB (Feb 13-16, 2020)
Great list! If you happen to be doing a 2023 update we’d love to see you and your family up at Snider Mountain this winter zipping through the forest and enjoying cookies and hot chocolate by the campfire before a sleigh ride back to the ranch. It’s for 8 and over so assuming we’ve done our math right both the kids would be able to join you now. :). Have a great winter!
