Winter is here, and we know you are looking for ways to get outside and enjoy some family time. Tobogganing, tubing or sliding in New Brunswick is so much fun. New Brunswick gets slammed with the most snow in the Maritimes each year, making this list the perfect resource for your family to get out and enjoy some fun and fresh air.
Our Winter 2020 bucket list contains activities to do, experiences to enjoy and destinations to visit in New Brunswick with our children. We will be sharing our family ideas for things to do with a 7-year-old and a 16-year-old. Of course, many activities can be enjoyed by other ages as well, we are just sharing what we are doing and experiencing.
UPDATED 2020 EDITION!
With Christmas right around the corner, houses are being decorated inside and out. Some people have a few strands of lights, while others go all out.
With lockdowns, no parade, limited access to activities, etc, we hope to make 2020’s list and map a favourite resource for families in Greater Moncton.
We have compiled a list of all the bigger or unique (one of a kind) light displays in the Greater Moncton region. The list was compiled on our Facebook page in 2018 & 2019, and we will continue to update and add to it here on the blog.
On September 15th, Lorne, Clayton and I joined close to 60 volunteers at the TD Tree Days planting event here in Moncton, New Brunswick. We were asked to share our experience and some more information about this fabulous program.
New Brunswick has many roadside attractions, hidden gems and unique places to add to your next road trip! We created this resource in hopes that you slow down, take time to explore and stop a while next time you are on the road in New Brunswick. These are short stops, not activities that take hours, but a place to stop, look, have a bite to eat or stretch your legs. Pack a picnic lunch and bring your camera, snap a photo at some of these fun attractions. Feel free to share on social using hashtag #StopToSeeNB so we can see all the fun you have!
This past weekend we celebrated Clayton’s birthday with his friends. He turned 6 back on December 30th, but this year he asked for a party with some of his friends. So, when planning what to do, where to go and what to eat, I went with the ease of a hosted party, at a fun location and we ordered our food ahead of time from Greco Pizza.
This post is sponsored by Greco. We received pizza and compensation for this post, but all opinions and wording are our own.
Easy, Simple and Stress Free!!
Winter is often a hard time of year to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. We are trying to do more and more in the winter months to get outside as a family and enjoy activities in the cold.
While it is sometimes too cold to hit the slopes or skate outdoors, a sleigh ride, bundled up under a blanket with a thermos of hot chocolate could the perfect family outing. We have put together a list of Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides available to book in New Brunswick.
Over the past few summers, my boys and I have spent many hours on the road, visiting and exploring our beautiful New Brunswick coastline. As I thought about a theme for a New Brunswick Christmas Tree, my very first thought was to create a tree that represents all those fun day trips and adventures we have spent as a family. Family is our focus this time of year, so we decided to create some ornaments that cherish those tidbits of time spent Discovering NB Beaches. There is so much more to explore in NB, and I look forward to adding more hand made ornaments to this tree each year.
