Our Winter 2020 bucket list contains activities to do, experiences to enjoy and destinations to visit in New Brunswick with our children. We will be sharing our family ideas for things to do with a 7-year-old and a 16-year-old. Of course, many activities can be enjoyed by other ages as well, we are just sharing what we are doing and experiencing.
Winter Festivals In New Brunswick
We are keeping our goal for Winter Festivals this year to 2, only because the weather and road conditions may limit the travel we can do. We compiled a long list with details as we were researching our plans, so we are sharing here for your enjoyment and planning. We also shared our Winter Family Bucket List to help share more ideas for winter, family-friendly activities in New Brunswick.
Skating is a huge part of winter for many, but do you like to skate outside, in the fresh air? This series features Outdoor Winter Activities for the family. We are kicking it off with Outdoor Skating Venues in Greater Moncton. We also have a list of Sleigh Rides In NB, as well as Maple Sugar Camps In New Brunswick and Winter Festivals In New Brunswick.
I remember as a child and teen spending many hours at outdoor rinks with my family and friends(I practically lived at the local arena as well, for figure skating). I grew up in Quispamsis, NB and always skated on the Kennebecasis River or at the Rothesay Commons.
Now, living in Moncton, and raising my family here, we are learning where all the best spots are around the region for our favourite winter activities. This list of outdoor skating rinks is the start of our Outdoor Winter Activities series. Watch for new activities and roundups of locations coming soon!
Winter Road Trip Check List

We love things like Sleigh Rides (List of New Brunswick Sleigh Rides), and Outdoor Skating (In Moncton), or later in the season, visiting Maple Sugar Camps.
As I have been planning activities this Winter, checking out festivals (such as the Jack Frost Festival in PEI), looking for activities to do as a family, or seeking venues to visit within a few hours of our home, I got to thinking about what to take with us. Packing the car up for a Winter Road Trip is a little different than what I pack in the warmer Summer months.
