New Brunswick Family Day Trips & Destinations

New Brunswick Family Day Trips & Destinations

When it comes to family travel, I truly believe in exploring where we are from. Last summer we started a series called #StopToSeeNB, hoping to encourage more people to explore and visit our picturesque and heritage rich province. In 2020, with the province in a state of emergency and our borders closed, we have put together a resource to help you plan some New Brunswick day trips and weekend destinations this summer. This list will be updated and grow as we visit more places.
Our travels will be a little different this summer, with some destinations not opening or having limited services.

PLEASE check with each destination before heading out to ensure they are open and what precautions or limitations to service they have in place at this time. You may be required to wear masks, there may be closed areas or limited services.

Winter Skating In Greater Moncton

Skating is a huge part of winter for many, but do you like to skate outside, in the fresh air? This series features Outdoor Winter Activities for the family. We are kicking it off with Outdoor Skating Venues in Greater Moncton. We also have a list of Sleigh Rides In NB, as well as Maple Sugar Camps In New Brunswick and Winter Festivals In New Brunswick
I remember as a child and teen spending many hours at outdoor rinks with my family and friends(I practically lived at the local arena as well, for figure skating). I grew up in Quispamsis, NB and always skated on the Kennebecasis River or at the Rothesay Commons.

Now, living in Moncton, and raising my family here, we are learning where all the best spots are around the region for our favourite winter activities. This list of outdoor skating rinks is the start of our Outdoor Winter Activities series. Watch for new activities and roundups of locations coming soon!
