Where to find Remembrance Day services in New Brunswick

Remembrance Day Services in New Brunswick 2024

In Canada, Remembrance Day is observed on November 11th each year. It is a day to honor and remember the members of the armed forces who have served and sacrificed their lives for Canada during times of war and peace. It commemorates the end of World War I, marked by the armistice signed on November 11, 1918.

On this day, Canadians participate in various ceremonies and activities. These include laying wreaths at war memorials and observing a moment of silence at 11 a.m. They also wear red poppies as a symbol of remembrance. The day serves as an important reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers and the value of peace and freedom.
