 Flutterbye Dreams Mitten Clip and Hair Clip Review

I had the pleasure of reviewing 2 unique handmade items made by Flutterbye Dreams.
The first was mitten clips. These are fantastic. They attach children’s mittens to the sleeve of their jacket.
These straps have secure clips on either end which are too difficult for a child to open. They work well on large thick mittens along with the thin knitted ones.
These straps come in a variety of patterns, to coordinate with winter wear, which is also great for different age groups.
In my experience it becomes difficult if not impossible to find mittens on “strings” as children get older, and they are not always ready for the responsibility of keeping track of them and locating them at the lost & found when necessary, so these are a great option for them as well.
Of course, they make perfect sense for younger kids, my daughter is 5 and its still November has she already lost 1 mitten from 2 sets of mittens!! I wasn’t using the knitted ones in string I had because they seem to hang uneven and she trips over them, and because they aren’t as warm at the “hot paws”ones that rarely come with strings or straps.
 Although I’m frugal, I’m willing to spend the money on good quality mittens that will keep hands warm. So in my opinion, its definitely worth the additional $7 to keep the mittens secure. And the clips can be used yea after year!
If you normally purchased mittens from the dollar store, or your child doesn’t ever loose their mittens, perhaps these aren’t for you.
I know that I’m defiantly a mitten clip mom from now on!
I also reviewed the No-slip Hair Clips and I absolutely love them!
My daughter has thin, silky hair and its difficult to find something that stays in place. These stayed in place most days, and are simple enough for her to replace herself.
I love how when she does take them out they don’t tear out a chunk of hair like many of the alternative products do.
They have cute little patterns and they are so many to choose from, 4 packs are $6.
There are also lots of specialty clips and baby snap clips!

I, along with Natalie, had the opportunity to try, and review two handmade products from Flutterbye Dreams. The first product was a set of mitten clips. These have become extremely handy. My five year old daughter is consistently losing her mittens and gloves, and its always one of the two, never both. These mitten clips have firm grips on either end where one end clips onto the sleeve of the jacket, and the other end clips onto the mitten. They are simple to remove and switch to a different pair of mittens, while still being too difficult for her to do on her own. My daughter has never complained about them being attached and she hasn’t lost a mitten yet! I recommend this product for anyone with little ones who tend to lose their mitts.
The second product from Flutterbye Dreams was a set of hair clips. These hair clips are extremely cute and comfortable to wear. They are easy to remove without pulling out hair, but stay in place. My daughters hair is not thin and she has bangs so we don’t use the clips to keep the hair out of her face, but rather to add an accessory to her outfit and/or hairstyle. I think these clips would be great for those with children whose hair is thin and needs to be kept out of their faces.
