The Cream Cheese Log Cookie is a slight twist on a sugar cookie. This log cookie recipe has a rich flavour and you can decorate with coloured sugars, icing or other candy topping.
Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
Cream together sugar, butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add egg and vaniall and beat until smooth.
Fold in and add flour mixture slowly until well blended. Let stand 5 minutes.
Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a log with floured hands.Wrap tightly with wax paper or plastic wrap. Place in labeled freezer bag for up to 6 months.
To Bake Cookies
Remove log from freezer for 15 minutes prior to slicing.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Unwrap dough and slice into 1/2 inch thick cookies.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
