We have decided to share what we are watching each month with you. We will share a snippet of our viewing with you each month, from movies to TV shows, to Netflix and more…
Watching On Blu-Ray or DVD:
- Mia and the White Lion – Quest For Freedom (Clayton & Ruth Ann)
I received this movie as a gift from Shout Factory. From time to time they will send me kids and teen movies to review and share. All opinions are my own. (Be sure to go to our Facebook post to enter our giveaway for your copy)
This movie was very emotional, educational and engaging. Following the story of a young girl who befriends a lion cub on her parent’s farm. After raising it she realizes her father is selling lions to poachers and she frees the lion and tries to get him to a safe space across the country. It was beautifully done and lead to a long discussion about the poaching industry. - Harry Potter (Clayton & Ruth Ann)
- Jungle Bunch (Clayton & Ruth Ann)

We enjoyed this movie about The Jungle Bunch. It is the fun and exciting tale of Maurice, a penguin who was raised in the jungle and thinks he’s a tiger! Maurice assembles a misfit group, the Jungle Bunch, and together they work to save the jungle from Igor the koala.
Watching In The Theatre:
- Toy Story 4 (Doug & Clayton)
- The Lion King (Ruth Ann & Clayton)
We had been waiting for this one to come out. It was so well done and I found myself and Clayton singing along in several spots. There were a few additional scenes, and a couple of lines added from the original, but it was amazing!
Watching On Netflix:
- Annie (Clayton & Ruth Ann)
We watched the original 80’s version of Annie – this was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theatre, now guess how old I am! 🙂 - The 100 (Ruth Ann) I have been watching this series since it began. I had not watched any of the most recent seasons, so finally got caught up in July. Lots of violence and gore.
- Spiderman Homecoming (Clayton & Ruth Ann)
- Queer Eye (Ruth Ann) Love this show. Helping people reach their full potential by lifting them up!
Watching On Prime:
- The Boys (Ruth Ann & Doug) Another superhero series, but there’s a twist. This one seems good so far, but be aware, it is violent and gory.
What have you been watching? Do you have any favourite weekly shows, or are you like me and end to binge on a series as it is released on Netflix or Prime? I will admit that the shows are often playing on my phone with my headphones in when I am cooking or doing other household activities, and I often do not pay close attention when I am binging a series.
Share your favourite movies and shows with me, tell me why you enjoy them. I would love suggestions for something new!
