I’m not a big smoothie person, and appearance means everything to me when it comes to my food. My New Year’s resolution was to drink more “healthy” smoothies for breakfast instead of my favorite Lucky Charms Cereal. I tried so many flavor combinations so far, some successes and some epic failures. Needless to say, when I tried this combination, I was completely surprised at how good it tasted (despite it’s color)!
You will need:
1 cup tightly packed kale
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
1 ripe banana
1 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1 tablespoon Hemp Hearts
Almond-Coconut Milk- enough to get to the consistency you like
Combine all ingredients into a blender, except milk. Start blender on “Smoothie Mode” if yours has one, and slowly add the milk until it gets to the consistency you like. I like thinner smoothies, so I add about 1/2 cup.

If you put the kale through a juicer first it doesnt turn as bad of green and no yucky texture. But yummm it is good
