January 2024 – Chicken Freezer Meal Workshop

We will be making the following recipes: 

  • Chicken In A Hurry
  • Spicy Ranch Chicken
  • Lemon Garlic Chicken
  • Italian Grilled Chicken
  • Hawaiian Chicken

Below you will find the ingredients for each recipe. For this workshop, I will be prepping one bag of each recipe. If you want to prep multiples, please plan accordingly. Video link if as the bottom of the page.

  • To prep, remember to label your freezer bags with the Recipe Name and Cooking Instructions.
  • Use an empty mixing bowl to place your bag in before filling. Helps hold the bag in place and catches spills. You can also use bag clips, like the ones I have (on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3HsrV6O )

These freezer meals are the meat portion of the meal and you will have to serve them with vegetables and rice, salad, potatoes, etc. 

PLEASE NOTE: These recipes all call for boneless, skinless chicken breast. I would recommend using any cut you would like for these recipes. If you choose to use bone-in chicken, you may have to adjust your cooking method or serving size.

DUMP FREEZER RECIPES: 

All of these recipes are to be prepared ahead in freezer bags to cook in a skillet, slow cooker or an Instant Pot later. Each recipe serves 4 people and can be divided into 2 bags if you prefer smaller serving sizes.

Chicken in a Hurry

Label Freezer Bag: Chicken In A Hurry, Date, 6-8 hours in a slow cooker on low or 25 min Instant Pot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Chicken Breast (or 4 thighs)
  • 1pkg Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Water 
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar

Spicy Ranch Chicken

Label Freezer Bag: Spicy Ranch Chicken, Date, 6-8 hours in a slow cooker on low or 25 min Instant Pot. Or you can cook in a hot skillet until the chicken is cooked through.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 Chicken Breast (or 4 thighs)
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce, your favourite brand
  • 1 package  dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup water or broth
  • 2 Tbsp butter or oil

Lemon Garlic Chicken

Label Freezer Bag: Lemon Garlic Chicken, Date, 6-8 hours in a slow cooker on low or 25 min Instant Pot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Chicken Breast (or 4 thighs)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup water or broth
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp parsley flakes

Italian Grilled Chicken

Label Freezer Bag: Italian Grilled Chicken, Date, Grill in a skillet or on the grill. 

  • 2 chicken breasts (cut in half into cutlets)
  • 1 bottle of Italian dressing
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

OPTIONAL – sundried tomatoes or dried grape tomatoes (chopped finely)

Hawaiian Chicken

Label Freezer Bag: Hawaiian Chicken, Date, 6 hours in slow cooker on low or 30 min in Instant Pot. Serve over rice with steamed vegetables.

  •  2 chicken breasts, diced in 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 red pepper, diced
