Greek Turkey Burgers

If you are a fan of Greek flavours, then this lean burger is for you! We love olives and feta in our house, so one day when I was craving a burger, and only had ground chicken in the freezer, I set out to create a moist and flavourful Greek burger with it.

The light flavour of the turkey allows the olives and feta to shine through. In addition to that I added some of my homemade Tomato Pesto for a little extra kick of flavour.

I make my own “sundried” oven roasted tomatoes. Here is how to make my Sundried Tomato Pesto.

We served it with spinach and a tomato slice, a little mayo and that is it.

Serve on a low calorie bun, or wrapped in lettuce for a healthier option to bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Greek Seasoning
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 3/4 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 cup Feta diced
  • 12 Olives diced small (black or green )
  • 2 Tbsp Sundried Tomato Pesto (recipe linked above)

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients well and form into 6 patties.
  • Cook in frying pan approx 6-8 min on each side on Med/Low heat. I prefer to cook burgers slower and not burn. I used a covered frying pan for these and they turned out great. Always make sure and ground meat recipe is cooked through before eating.
  • Serve with mayo, tomato slices and spinach.
