Winter Skating In Greater Moncton

Skating is a huge part of winter for many, but do you like to skate outside, in the fresh air? This series will feature Outdoor Winter Activities for the family. We are kicking it off with Outdoor Skating Venues in Greater Moncton.
I remember as a child and teen spending many hours at outdoor rinks with my family and friends(I practically lived at the local arena as well, for figure skating). I grew up in Quispamsis, NB and always skated on the Kennebecasis River or at the Rothesay Commons.

Now, living in Moncton, and raising my family here, we are learning where all the best spots are around the region for our favourite winter activities. This list of outdoor skating rinks is the start of our Outdoor Winter Activities series. Watch for new activities and roundups of locations coming soon!

Just Ask A Vet – Episode 18: What Food Is NOT Good For Your Dog

Just Ask A Vet is a series sponsored by Maritime Animal Hospital. We recorded 17 live episodes in 2018, and are adding them to the blog this year, along with new live shows on Facebook every few weeks.

In Episode 18 of the "Just Ask A Vet" series with Dr. Susan Malone, which aired last week live on Facebook, we shared information about food, what is not safe for pets and why.

Tips For Winter Travel With Your Dog

A winter vacation can be a wonderful change of scenery for you and your dog. But like any trip, you must plan ahead and be prepared. We love including Bo in our travels and adventures as much as possible. There are so many pet friendly options these days, from accomodations to businesses that will allow you to bring your dog inside for a walk around.

$25 Meal Plan – Dec 10/18

Here is this week's $25 weekly meal plan. This week's plan includes Hamburgers with Homemade Buns & Oven Fries, Hamburger Soup & Biscuits, Garlic Butter Chicken & Pasta, and Pasta Goulash.

The whole idea in sharing these plans is to inspire you to find lower cost options and plan ahead to save time and money. If you have specific dietary needs, you can alter some recipes or create your own plans. This is for inspiration, to prove it is possible to feed a family of 4 for supper meals on $25/week...customize as you wish. You can do it!
